Bride and Groom: Bex and Ben
Wedding venue: Poundon House, a private family home, was built at the turn of the century by a follower of Lutyens in the Palladian style and is approached up an avenue of lime trees. There are two Reception Rooms licensed for Civil Ceremonies, and in addition the Terrace can be used to seat guests providing an exceptional outdoor setting for the Ceremony (maximum guests 200 persons). The Marquee is also licensed for Civil Ceremonies, and is an ideal backdrop for large Weddings. After the Ceremony guests can enjoy views of the countryside before going to the Marquee, situated beneath mature beech trees and in a very secluded part of the garden and unique with its hand blocked printed lining, for dinner and dancing. We recommend two local caterers, Passion For Food and Original Kitchen, and we also welcome outside caterers. We have experience of holding Asian weddings, and the marquee is ideal for large weddings. Alternatively, the Reception Rooms provide a classic setting for couples wanting a more intimate Wedding Day. Venue Website

The Wedding Day: Bex & Ben got ready at different parts of the venue followed by the ceremony in the Yellow room and the party in the reception marquee. The whole day was emotional and filled with love & fun and a few happy tears were shared during the speeches. Bex’s mum & dad are florists and they had done an excellent job decorating the venue with vibrant and elegant flowers. Starting from the bouquets through to the table decorations – the flowers were just magnificent.
Bex & Ben have a great sense of humour so we didn’t miss the opportunity to document that also on their photos and who says no to fun, right?
